Congratulatory messages are pouring in as INEC declares Hon. Caleb Mutfwang as the Governor-Elect in Plateau state after the March 18th Governorship Polls.

Patrick Dakum, the Labour party candidate in the March 18 governorship election in Plateau state has conceded defeat.
He conceded defeat and called the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Caleb Mutfwang, to congratulate him on his victory at the polls.
Results announced by INEC showed Mutfwang scored 525,299 votes to defeat his closest rival, Nantawe Yilwatda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 481,370 votes while Patrick Dakum of the Labour Party (LP) came a distant third with 60,310 votes.
In his call to Mutwang, Dakum wished him well as the next governor of the state.
Also Former Plateau governor, Joshua Dariye has congratulated, Caleb Mutfwang, the state’s governor elect.
In a telephone call to Mutfwang, Dariye urged Mutfwang to bring Plateau back on the path of glory.
He promised to pray and support the governor-elect toward the growth, development and progress of the state.
Dariye described Mutfwang’s victory at the poll as a collective expression of the people of the state.
”Hello Caleb, congratulations on your victory, this is a collective expression of the people that you deserve their mandate and you have earned their confidence; be arrest assured of our support, prayers and loyalty.
”I have said that I left Plateau better than I met it, you will leave Plateau better than myself, former Gov. Jonah Jang and the incumbent Gov. Simon Lalong, met it.
For his part, former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang admonished the Governor-elect, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang to embrace every citizen and bear in mind that he will now be responsible, for the wellbeing of not only his party members and supporters across party, divide but for everyone who is in the State.
In a statement by his Media Consultant, Clinton Garuba, the former governor while congratulating Mutfwang on his victory at the poll also asked Mutfwang to do his best for the State as he can’t afford to disappoint the citizens who made sacrifices to ensure he emerged victorious.
The APC governorship Candidate has told supporters that he will approach the court to seek redress over his loss.
