The Plateau state government is yet to review the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jos-Bukuru metropolis
The Plateau state government had imposed a 24-hour curfew on Jos/Bukuru Metropolis, effective 12 midnight on Sunday 7th August, 2024.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang in his state broadcast on Tuesday assured citizens that the 24-hour curfew will be reviewed as soon as the security situation permits.
The governor noted that the resistance by hoodlums in some parts of the Jos North area from Monday morning till late afternoon proved that his action of imposing the curfew is justified.
Three days after, the imposition of the curfew, many people are beginning to feel the negative impact of the restriction placed on movement. For those whose survival are dependent on daily business transaction, they are asking for a relaxation of the curfew.
